Its a very hot tuesday.
Seems like the sun is indeed enraged with anger....someone must have done it wrong.
Travelling along ore road... The bumpiness of the ride. The choking residue of dust and carbon monoxide from heavy duty cars.
Sitting at the front seat of probably a 1960 model peugeot wagon. Old, dirty and rickety. Still i had to put on a nondescript seatbelt which had completly stripped my white polo terribly.
My thirst was inescapable....i couldnt wait till we approached a go-slow so as to buy water. It was to my upmost shock and displeasure when i found a little boy of about 4-5years old at a very bad bend, calling to travellers to buy orange.
I looked around him, so as to find maybe a resemblance to any of the women there who might have been his mother...i found none! A boy with a bag of oranges selling a not so purchased item under the heat of this sun. I felt touched, worst still that i couldnt anything....thats when i decided to write!
Probably, this is the source from which his tuition would be gotten from, while his parents threaten him as he grows that if he doesnt work, he wont eat or school..like it isnt the duty and obligation of parents to provide quality education.
No matter how much you spend on your childs education..they desreve even better...because before procreating, you should have made certain that you had means and were ready for all the challenges that accompanied parenting. Children owe it to you to be greatful, but dont' think by educating them, your doing anyone a favour...you will be the one to reap the dividends later.
I also know that perhaps these parents that subject their kids to these jobs are merely trying to make better a bad situation and there's little or nothing I and you can do about it.
We cant provide them the wherewithal to cater for their families, thus this sadeness ignites in me gratitude and it should in you too.
Gratitude to God almighty, that you were born in a family where you didnt go through this ordeals.
Gratitude to your parents, who worked tirelessly to provide and give you qualitative education and a roof over your head.
Finally, an applause for yourself, for making the best of an already better situation.

So Inspired!
The day was 5th january 2012. I had just sent Ifeanyi, the Date Doc a text message for his birthday and i was preparing breakfast when my mind began to soar toward these realities. I have been so blessed to have around many wonderful persons who are working hard and pushing themselves to achieve their goals. My thoughts beckon to these friends of mine with mind blowing aspirations but rather than sit down and be consumed by the thirst of jealousy and bitterness, i'd rather shove procastination and get to work while there's time and you should too. There's so much on your inside and you know it. Where are those dreams you think about? What's the longing desire that God has placed in you? Every talent or vision was designed initially to meet a significant need out there in the world. Dont hoard your dreams. Dont be scared of failing! If you never try how would you know? Maybe you have been praying for a breakthrough or a connection to your mega dream but God is saying take a step and i will do the rest! There are so many people living large right now in the pursuit of their dreams, you can be a part of it, you can find fufillment. All you need to do is let go and utilize all that has been deposited inside you. Its there to fufill a purpose. Dont give up, it can't get any worse than it has already. The best is yet too come. I'm inspired...so should you!
